![]() PATRON TESTIMONIALS Laura, I can’t begin to tell you how I am in LOVE with this gorgeous painting!!! I cannot stop looking at it when I walk by the dining room as it makes me happy and I feel I am at the beach! The vivid abundance of colors are just amazing and the abstract really enhances the personality of the painting as well giving it a contemporary feel. The black backing is a really good contrast to the bright painting colors and it’s surrounded by a beautiful blonde wood frame which finishes off the complete look. I have searched for months for an abstract beach painting and went to DeLand Fall Art Festival on a whim and when I saw that picture hanging up it was speaking to me! It’s the best Christmas gift! Thank you so much! Eileen C. Ormond Beach I have two paintings of Laura’s. The first is a large landscape of the tunnel of old oaks that leads to my home. I love the depth and the play of light. It is hung at the end of my bathtub so that I can relax and drift into the trees at the end of the day. The second painting is a botanical of Passion flowers which has a special meaning to my husband and I. I gave it to him for his birthday, and planned to hang it over our bed. I changed my mind and hung it on the opposite wall so that I can see it from the bed. Isn’t that exactly what you want to do with a painting? Spend time with them? I love both of these pieces, and I am happy and proud to be a collector of Laura’s work. Sooz White 2021 I still have to hang this beauty, but I am overjoyed that this stunning work of art is sitting on my mantle. It is just breath taking! One thing: When you and Keith come to visit, (yup “when” not “if”!), I am going to have you sign this in a much bolder color! Thank you so much. Christmas has arrived. I am so grateful! TinaMarie Zippo 2020 About the Magnolia “Almost Abstract.” I bought this painting because the light shimmering between and on leaves is so beautiful, and because I have a huge magnolia in my yard, and this brings some of that beauty into my home. Nancy Gear The colors are so beautiful! I love the movement in this painting. Nancy Gear "We love it! When I look at our painting I see nature and music as one entity...very thought provoking." Since Laura was a little girl, the dance of light in the leaves of the trees above has inspired her to be captivated by the natural world! She never grows tired of watching the light dance on water, or on the side of a mountain. One of her artistic goals is to have paintings that are reminders of how important it is to see the world as the Native Americans did and become keepers of the earth. Music and dance are also great inspirations as that melodious universal language brings humans together in communications of rhythm and sounds. Archetypal symbols and personal symbols tell stories! Symbols are one of the first forms of written story telling. Through symbols (seen on museum page of "African Goddess" painting and "A Primitive Future") in painting, one can not only tell a story but learn and relate to other's story that are so important to the human experience. Born in Ohio, Laura moved to Fort Lauderdale when she was seven years old and fell in love with swimming, body surfing and being outside. She pursued art from in early age and studied art in college and various professional workshops before showing art at festivals, galleries and museums. She also paints murals and commissions. Laura resides in Deland, Florida with her family. Enjoy this website and feel free to email her with inquiries at bohnlaura1@gmail.com All paintings and images are copyrights reserved by Laura K.
