METAPHORA
is my first assemblage art sculpture.
Using metal, wood, clay, and salvage is a way to re-purpose the old into the new. I built the face out of clay and found all the other elements.
The play of light on the sculpture can change the sculpture by adding and subtracting shadows.
The ceramic head was a clay sculpture I created in my college days and was thrilled that it fit the body I was creating.
Thanks to Mark Shuttleworth and the gang from Florida Victorian Architectural Antiques
for giving the artists opportunity to repurpose salvage from his store at http://floridavictorian.com
This work first exhibited at DaVinci Design Studios,
117 Howry Avenue in DeLand, Florida.
