A DAY IN THE LIFE is an impressionistic look at a beautiful banana tree in bloom in New Smyrna Beach. While painting this in my home studio, I walked into the kitchen and spotted a rat snake behind the refrigerator! It was a shock but of course they do eat rats! I got the snake outside and then somehow it ended up in my painting!
