I realize growing up by the ocean in Florida from the age of seven, that I might of taken the ocean for granted for many years. I expected it to be there clean and strong, full of life.
I did not imagine a time when the ocean would be in this much peril.
Here, I now know how to appreciate the natural world that needs better care taking.
I wanted to create both calm and energetic ocean paintings to display different moods of the ocean. So many times I have been in the ocean when it is like this. Always a challenge to paint and I am excited about the many ways to portray the sea!
